It was well worth having a stand at the Southend-on-Sea Arts Council open day at The Royals Shopping Centre today. At least 20 people want to sign up for my new 'Designing Printed Textiles' evening classes at METAL Art School. I had to explain to the mayor and mayoress of Southend the techniques I teach at my classes. Their comments included "very impressive" and "lovely designs". The mayoress was also very keen to visit my display of Paisley Power fabric products at the Beecroft Art Gallery, Southend.
At the event I was also invited to run a workshop for the Essex Silk Painters.
