I was very pleased to have been invited to join the Surface Pattern Design Guild. They are based in Berkeley, California. I was the guest speaker there in October 2016 when I gave a presentation of my paisley designs. I also showed the members some printed fabrics sample of my hand-drawn Paisley Power designs. Take a look at the guild's website surfacepatterndesignguild.org which has lots of interesting advice and resources for textile designers, surface pattern designers, illustrators, artists and students. I am looking forward to meeting up with some of the members again in March 2017 and seeing more of the fascinating city of San Francisco.
