Exhibition: A Moveable Feast. Art Deco Fashion Design from Alexandre Vassiliev's Collection.
Held at KUMU (Estonian Museum of Modern Art). The exhibition iincludes 80 costumes and over 200 accessories, as well as photos and paintings, all illustrating the development of European fashion from 1918–1939 when the dominant style was Art Deco. During this period dress lengths became increasingly shorter. Dresses which only reached the knees shocked the mainstream.
A paisley dress with wonderful conical sleeves and also detail of a dress with paisley embroidery can be seen in the pic. Thanks to Jyri Kermik for the photos.
